Sometimes life hits a wall, and your experience can be overwhelming. It can feel confusing to be left to sort out your thoughts and feelings during that experience. Many times, this is rooted in trauma, childhood adversities, family dynamics, or relational stresses. My role as your therapist is to help you understand how your past is part of your present. Learning the themes, patterns, cycles, and roles that have developed in your life, will help you facilitate the change that is needed to relieve these symptoms. Together we can peel back the layers. Awareness is the key!
I offer my clients a humanistic/existential approach. I am well versed in working with clients who are experiencing addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, abandonment, and family/relationship stress. I work with adults, couples, and families. I have a lot of training in existential/relational modalities in addition to emotional and mood disorders.
Growth is a process that takes patience, courage, and strength. Our willingness to build trust, have empathy, and connect on a human level will guide us to co-create the therapy experience. We also have other therapists in the practice who are wonderful at what they do. I, personally, am licensed in PA, WV, and OH.
