About
I am a passionate healing professional who believes healing happens differently for everyone. I believe healing is a collaborative process in which curiosity, openness, relationship, and patience remain at the core of the partnership. I explore creative and anti-oppressive practices, which create space for trauma narratives to take unfiltered shape, as well as traditional modalities. I am trained in CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, and the Collaborative Change Model. For the last two years, I have trained with Mary Jo Barrett from the Center of Contextual Change in the Collaborative Change Model.
I worked with children and adolescents in therapeutic residential care, where I had great success in building transformative relationships with youth and treatment teams. I have a Master’s in Social Work from Governor’s State University, with a concentration in Children and Family Studies. I also hold an active Illinois license in clinical social work.
