Hi there! I'm Tedra, a licensed professional counselor. Choosing the right therapist is important and can often times be scary! Therapy is a journey and who you choose to embark on that journey with is important. I am extremely passionate about helping others and providing a safe space for you to learn, grow, and heal. I have years of experience counseling adults (especially military veterans) on a variety of issues, including but not limited to; depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction and recovery, and adjustment issues related to everyday life changes.
I also work with children, adolescents, couples, and families. I align closely with a person-centered and holistic counseling approach utilizing various therapeutic techniques from DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed theories.
I strive to provide therapy that is tailored to each individual's unique experiences in life. I firmly believe that people grow and thrive from mutually empowering relationships, beginning with the therapeutic relationship.
