A Greek philosopher told us the only thing constant is change; it seems life is full of changes and challenges. When we're confident and strong, we usually adapt fairly well to stresses and struggles. It's different, though, when unpleasant emotions or complex issues seem to drain practically all the energy we can muster just to get through the day. Feeling overly confused or frustrated, maybe even lost or helpless, might mean it's time to reach out for help to identify, work through, and manage whatever is getting in the way of our happiness and peace of mind. I might be just the person who can do that for you.
After many years in emergency medicine and education, I found a robust passion for clinical counseling. My work is based in narrative therapy, with emphasis on a mindful, practical balance of what works for the individual, couple, or family. I am a Certified Grief Specialist with additional expertise in issues related to gender and sexuality.
Please consider a free consultation if you believe you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, loss and grief, personal trauma, post-traumatic stress, anger management, relationship issues, separation or divorce, self-esteem, parent effectiveness, or personal transitions, e.g., stages of life, LGBTQ+, or other identity concerns. I look forward to meeting you!
