Let's be honest-sitting across from someone you don't know can be awkward and intimidating! You may feel lost and need someone to walk, provide a sounding board, and/or get in the trenches with you. I provide a safe space to do these things! Therapy is a relationship and should be treated as such. I use a relational approach with self disclosure when necessary. My style is very conversational whilst allowing my clients to be the experts on their own life and come to conclusions on their own. I provide more structure when it's wanted or needed and can do the opposite as well.
I utilize client centered approaches, meeting clients where they are at in their lives as opposed to where they "should" be. My clinical interests include co-occurring disorders, domestic violence, substance misuse, complex trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and animal therapy. I am also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
