We often hear things like “Enjoy being a teen while you can”, “ My 20’s were the BEST!” But, what if you don’t feel that? What if your teens, 20s, or 30s feel exhausting…then what? When life feels more difficult than good, how can you deal? Life changes rapidly sometimes, and it can feel hard to keep up. School, work, family, friends, relationships… Whatever you are juggling, I want to help you find balance again. Your current challenges or past wounds don’t have to define you. Though reaching out to a counselor can be nerve-wracking, I would love to put your mind at ease.
Sessions are casual; you can be comfortable! I approach clients with empathy, using a kind, direct approach. We’ll talk about things in detail and use creative approaches too! Since personal growth can feel heavy, I use playfulness and humor as we explore your challenges. I work best with those who are ready to change and are open to being gently challenged.
I am sensitive to the tender challenges adolescents face. Additionally, I enjoy working with OCD, mood disorders, and adults with ADHD. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma processing, as well as Exposure and Ritual Prevention. Christian counseling is an option for anyone desiring a faith based approach.
