Hi! I am a supervisee in clinical social work who attended JMU (Go Dukes!) for my undergrad degree and VCU for grad school! I have worked at the Children's Hospital providing counseling and support to children and their families who were facing many challenges. I have also worked in school and trauma settings. I love to help children, teens and young adults reach their goals and overcome challenges which hinder their growth. If you are experiencing anxiety, depression or self-esteem issues I am here to help.
I also enjoy helping women with a variety of issues and problems, including postpartum struggles.
I utilize a strength-based approach, along with cognitive behavioral therapy, and other evidence based treatments. I use Play and Art therapy techniques to help children explore feelings and emotions. Providing a safe and welcoming space to middle and high schoolers enables them to work through their depression, anxiety and other issues.
I offer a non-judgmental and accepting space where my clients are free to explore their feelings, and I work collaboratively by their side to help them meet goals.
