Taylor Molloy Pfau
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW-R
Location
I have been working with clients for over 15 years. I feel most comfortable addressing individual struggles from a strength based perspective. Anxiety, depression and trauma related issues are addressed by utilizing a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as from a Family Systems perspective. This, I believe, allows the client to achieve the most success and a clearer understanding of their own struggles and how to overcome them.
I have worked with many teens and young adults on issues such as depression and anxiety that are complicated by identity formation during this stage of life. I also address behavioral issues in children due to an adjustment such as divorce or separation of parents as well as any school related concerns.
I will be co-facilitating an adolescent female DBT Skills group starting January 2017. This group will run 8-10 weeks and will have a strong parent component. This group will address teens who struggle with distress tolerance, who lack a skill set in effective communication, as well as safety issues such as self harm.
