Hi, I’m Tayler Iversen. I’m a Utah based licensed therapist. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah and have been working in the mental health sector since 2015. I take a person centered approach when it comes to therapy. Which means, I focus on affirmation, empathy, and promoting self worth. I believe ultimately you are the expert of your own life and I value your thoughts and opinions during sessions. Life can be difficult and we at times may feel "stuck." I am here to provide support and validation as you move through change and struggles. Together, I believe we can find a way to get unstuck!
There are many different approaches to therapy and I am happy to tailor sessions to what works best for specific personalities and issues. I welcome feedback and would love to have ongoing conversations throughout therapy sessions about what is or isn’t working. I have been trained in DBT and EMDR. I also utilize mindfulness based strategies, MI, CBT, IFS.
Starting therapy can sometimes feel so scary! But I promise, I’m not THAT scary! Some people feel extra nervous about that first session and that’s totally normal. I find that a lot of times that nervousness decreases after the first few sessions. Whether it’s your first time ever trying therapy or your 100th I’d love to be a part of your journey!
