I have been working with adolescents, adults and families since the mid 1980's. Substance abuse, depression, anxiety, LGBT and family issues are the areas that I have the most experience in. I believe folks come to therapy because some aspects of their lives are not working...we will explore these issues and move to get you where you want and need to be. I have many years of various types of training, but the most important is to get people back to being comfortable, happy and productive in their own world. Compassion and humor are extremely important values to find in each of our lives!!
I have a strong background in substance abuse and family. I have been involved in the LGBT community for over four decades. We have a Trans group and offer support/education. I have developed a variety of education/tools over the years. I believe that when you need a therapist, together we will explore ways to get you to where you need/want to be.
When your world is not working how you want it to be, and you make the decision to start making changes, I begin my part in helping you to make that journey. I have an adorable sidekick that assists with sessions. So you get two for one with us. Her name is Honey and she is a fluffy corgi. Her anxiety lowering skills are excellent!
