Hi there! I specialize in somatic and emotions-focused therapy. I work in helping those heal through anxiety, shame, emotional dysregulation, relational challenges and past trauma. I work with those who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or feel lost in their pain from their traumatic experiences. My clients typically feel ready to care for their mental health but have no idea where to start, or maybe have tried traditional talk therapy in the past but are still feeling stuck. I believe all humans are wired to heal, and my job is to help you access this part, and support you as we navigate the emotional pain together.
It is important to me that my therapeutic work is always inclusive and trauma informed. I am formally trained in AEDP: a therapeutic approach that is geared toward attuning to the body, exploring defense mechanisms, and healing the emotional experiences that have been ignored. I also integrate the works of Narrative and Humanistic therapy into my sessions.
I believe counseling is rooted in creating and nourishing a safe relationship where you have the space to feel radically accepted, while also being challenged to grow in new ways.
