I work with neurodivergent adults, many with late diagnoses, focusing on empowerment, somatic and experiential work, and teaching coping skills when appropriate. I focus on individuals working through grief and advocate for my clients' grief process, encouraging them to find meaning and validation in the process. I believe that after trust has been established, the client will be able to grow and progress at a pace that feels manageable, healing, and safe.
I am an EMDR therapist and an AEDP level 2 therapist in training. I am certified in ADHD therapy and trained in Grief Counseling, focused on infertility. My therapeutic approach is active and somatic, utilizing interactive exercises when appropriate. I rely on AEDP, IFS, and EMDR for experiential work and CBT and DBT for insight and skills-based approaches.
I was raised as a second-generation immigrant by a single mother in NYC. We spoke Portuguese and English at home. Through education, I was given access to greater professional opportunities. I know what it means to struggle and strive. This spirit shapes my passion for advocacy and creating and imagining new opportunities and possibilities with my clients.
