About

Gender and sexuality define who we are, the way we love, and how we connect with others. Diverse and, therefore, controversial, our gender and our sexuality are too often handled without acknowledgment of the power they hold. I work with marginalized identifies, including but not limited transgender, non-binary, intersexed, gay, lesbian, bisexual and non-monogamy. The focus of therapy on the client's self defined needs, along with specialized services of Hormone Replacement Therapy support and documentation.
I work best with people living outside of what society calls "normal." LGBTQIA folks, non-traditional couples, and identities or issues that fall outside of the norm and who experience depression, PTSD, relationship problems, anxiety, or other mental health issues have unique experiences. My approach in therapy takes into account unique identities.
Change can feel unattainable, yet it is the only constant in life. Your gender identity or expression, your sexuality, and your way of connecting to others do not have to be a source of pain. Change can happen when we take the risk to hope. When we refuse to accept a false normal, then we can begin to work towards becoming who we imagine we can be.

Edging Sexual Norms

The "Edging Sexual Norms" program is designed for people with fetishes and "non-normative" sexual preferences that have been a consistent source of distress, shame, or tension in their day-to-day lives. Through focused group work with a trained therapist, clients will learn to explore and express their sexuality without shame. They will overcome social stigmas. And they will learn to integrate their sexuality into their lives in ways that are healthy and positive, for them and for future sexual partners.
