I am a licensed professional counselor with a primary specialty in adolescent and young adult mental health, as well as experience treating adults and families. As a therapist, I primarily treat individuals with various mental health issues specific to teens and young adults transitioning to adulthood. I provide treatment to individuals that emphasizes identifying strengths, express their emotions and to overall have a better relationship with their culture/community. I strive to help people live more emotionally healthy and relationally successful lives.
I have expertise in providing treatment relating to sexual identity exploration, trauma, stress, depression/anxiety, social skills, autism spectrum disorders, vocational rehabilitation, career exploration, transition age youth, pregnancy/ parenting, cultural issues and dissociation disorders.
As the benefits of therapy depend largely on the strength and authenticity of the therapeutic relationship, I focus on building trusting connections with my clients via empathy, warmth, humor, and honesty. Sessions with me are collaborative and respectful; together, we will develop a unique direction and pace of treatment to best suit your needs.
