I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a collaboration and I am an engaging, candid, and empathetic participant. Therapy is a framework in which you can address and resolve current distress by promoting self-awareness and generating useful strategies for positive change. In addition, therapy helps you to identify and modify self-defeating attitudes, thoughts, and beliefs, as well as ineffective behavior patterns.
I provide psychotherapy for adults dealing with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, low self-esteem, and relationship issues.
My specific areas of expertise is providing counseling for issues surrounding, and unique to, infertility and assisted reproduction.
I provide psychological support to Shady Grove Fertility Center as well as other fertility clinics in Maryland and out of state.
My work includes conducting evaluations of egg donors, gestational carriers, and recipients of donated gametes.
I have been past Chair of the Maryland Psychological Association's (MPA) Ethics Committee as well as past Chair of the Mental Health Professional Group of ASRM. In addition, I am a current member of MPA and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. In addition to my clinical work, I have been affiliate faculty at Loyola University Maryland and UMBC.
