I worked in victims’ services for twenty years and am highly skilled in serving survivors of sexual abuse/assault, incest and domestic violence as well as surviving family members of those who have lost their lives to homicide or suicide. My experience includes working in hospitals, police, court settings, and a domestic violence safe house. In latter years, my experience has been as a grief counselor in hospice settings.
I have over 26 years in the field. My specialization is in trauma, grief, loss, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety/depression, self-esteem/body image, and relationships. I use a combination of Unconditional Positive Regard, Cognitive-Behavioral, Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused Therapies.
I have an inherent belief in empowering individuals to make decisions that are right for them. My style is laid back, approachable, down to earth, compassionate, warm, and empathetic. I wholeheartedly believe in the resilience of the human spirit and that we are all walking hand in hand together in life.
