Within a warm, down-to-earth, depth oriented approach, I work from a contemporary psychoanalytic and Jungian perspective, with an emphasis on the transformative potential of the therapeutic relationship. Together, we may explore recurring patterns, emotional impasses, bodily experiences, and the underlying forces that contribute to feelings of disappointment, loss, frustration or anxiety. My practice often focuses on life transitions, grief, loss, anxiety, and depression, with particular interest in the treatment of traumatic and dissociative states, chronic physical concerns, and processes of psychic maturation and growth.
We all have a deep well of inner wisdom. When our strengths and vulnerabilities come into dialogue with one another, our authentic gifts can more fully emerge. In the work of embodying and giving voice to disowned parts of ourselves, meaningful healing and integration become possible.
I bring a depth of listening, perceptivity, compassion and training. My practice integrates trauma-informed perspectives from neuroscience and parts work such as IFS as well as art, sand play, dream work, and body centered Somatic Experiencing. My clinical approach is also informed by Buddhist contemplative practice and teachings.
