It is my belief that if you are seeking help in any area of your life, you are showing strength and courage. At some point in all of our lives we will need help. It is a part of being human, that we often try to avoid at great cost to our own well-being. My approach to therapy is strengths based. Each of us is unique in our own way, therefore treatment will look a little different for every individual or couple. I am a supportive, honest, and caring therapist who will strive to help you to see your own strengths and work with you to find the best tools to manage the many stressors and challenges you may be experiencing.
Since I received my MSW at the University of Pennsylvania over a decade ago, I’ve been working intensively with individuals, couples, and families. Helping them through incredibly stressful times and struggles, such as grief and loss, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, life limiting illness, life transitions, and relationship issues.
I decided to name my practice Discovery Counseling because my goal during therapy is to encourage and support clients to discover new beliefs in themselves, new ways of healing, and new ways of thinking that will lead them into a more fulfilled way of living.
