Taquila is a proud two time graduate of Delta State University, earning a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, as well as a Specialist degree in Psychometry from Jackson State University.
Passionate about mental health awareness since childhood, Taquila’s professional journey includes working with children, adults, and geriatric clients in various settings.
Having worked in school-based and in home services, inpatient and private practice. Each experience has expanded ability to adapt to different client needs, from crisis intervention to long-term therapy. Private practice work has honed skills in building strong therapeutic relationships and tailoring interventions to address broad spectrums of mental health.
When she’s not empowering others, Taquila enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Her commitment to mental health awareness and advocacy continues to inspire and uplift those around her daily.
