Children are a precious aspect of many people's lives. Despite having loving, caring families, even children need a trusting, caring adult with whom they can share their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. My career pursuit and passion in life has always been to help others, particularly children. As a therapist, my role is to assist children and their families in using their inner resources and strengths to help them understand their full potentials. By understanding how thoughts, feelings, and actions are interrelated and by building their coping skills, children can improve their relationships with others, behaviors at home and at school, and overall resilience.
Through my work on understanding brain functioning and how we change our behaviors by changing our thoughts, I have helped numerous children and adolescents to understand and change their behaviors. The confidential, safe, and supportive environment of the therapeutic relationship I create has helped children and adolescents in various settings for 30 years.
The games, books, and puzzles included in my office help to create an atmosphere that is friendly and welcoming to children and adolescents. Office hours/appointments are Mondays through Thursdays.
