In today’s world, we are constantly inundated with information about mental health—diagnoses, therapies, and treatments. The illness-based medical model often emphasizes diagnosis and symptom management, but this approach can oversimplify the complexity of our experiences. My goal is to help you understand how and why yours or your child’s mind and body have learned to cope in particular ways so that you can understand how to make the changes you are looking to see. I bring highly specialized training in pediatric and health psychology, giving me a deep understanding of the mind-body connection so that my care is holistic.
I support children, teenagers, young adults, and their families, as they navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, OCD, aggression, trauma, or life transitions. I have expertise in health-related issues, including eating and feeding disorders, body image disturbances, sleep disorders, chronic illness, chronic pain, and health-related anxiety.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, which means that I have broad training in multiple interventions and therapeutic modalities. While therapy will look straightforward and conversational, I am integrating a variety of strategies and sharing them so they are as practical as possible. I welcome you to reach out and see if I am a good fit for you!
