Children do not always have the words to express emotions or stress. I am a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor with a concentration in childhood trauma. Helping your child/teen includes treatment for the whole family. Children face dilemmas, which can present with difficult behaviors with frustrated parents. Traumatic events in today's world creates feelings of overwhelmed. I work with nuerological disorders including Autism, ADHD, and others. I work with children as young as 3 years old and families to provide parenting techniques. I provide the Safe and Sound Protocol and an intregative medicine approach.
I graduated from Spring Arbor University with a BA in Family Life Education and a Master's in Counseling. I have continued my education and training by completing requirements for Registered Play Therapy credential. I have training specific to childhood disorders and trauma. I enjoy working with children as well as teens and their families.
Tanya M. Purcell, LLC offers guidance and the counseling experience for parents. From early childhood through adolescence, and adult life, I am here to help the healing process begin. I am available for early care and education consultations. I have served as an elected board member for the Ohio Association of Play Therapy. Hours are flexible.
