Hello, my name is Tanya Lorenzi. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified sex therapist in Augusta, GA. I believe that everyone knows what's best for them, and it's my job to help you find it. My theoretical approach is mainly acceptance and commitment therapy, which focuses on helping you become the best version of yourself. I am also trained in EMDR for trauma. I prefer to use the Gottman method for couples which will help you and your partner fix your communication cycles, feel closer to each other, and have fewer fights.
The tone of my session changes depending on what we talk about, but I always try to help my clients leave feeling lighter than when they showed up for the session.
I think every therapist has a story about how they got into therapy. Mine is a lot like many others. After having my youngest child prematurely, I had my first kidney transplant about 8 months later. I fell into a deep depression that made it difficult for me to do anything. A therapist helped me find my way back to the light.
