Hi, I’m Tanner. I work with adults and teens struggling with OCD and anxiety, with an emphasis on taboo intrusive thoughts and perfectionism. I became a therapist because I’ve lived this from the inside. I know what it’s like to appear high-functioning and driven while feeling internally unstable—as if your life is a house of cards held together by effort and control. Having experienced OCD and anxiety firsthand, I bring a warm, deeply attuned, and non-judgmental presence to therapy. My approach targets meaningful, sustained remission by addressing the specific patterns that keep OCD and anxiety alive.
I specialize in taboo intrusive thoughts—specifically those related to sexuality or harm that feel disturbing and impossible to share. Many clients carry these in silence, fearing judgment while others remain unaware. I also focus on OCD driven by a need for order, which often shows up as rigidity and chronic over-preparation in high-pressure environments.
I earned my degrees from UT Austin and UT San Antonio. My work is grounded in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I also integrate holistic lifestyle factors like exercise, nutrition, and sleep, drawing from my experience as a marathon runner.
