Hello there :) I'm Tanner (he/him) a Black, queer, art and creativity lover based in Brooklyn, NY on occupied Lenape land. I often work with adult clients who've experienced family/relationship trauma, shame, homophobia/homo-intolerance and who want an active and engaged participant in their healing journey. While I’ve worked with people from various backgrounds, I have a special connection with creative people. With years of experience in the music industry, I understand the pressures of being creative within a capitalist structure. If you are a visual artist, songwriter, or any other type of creative, we can explore your specific life experience.

My aim is to create a welcoming, brave, and collaborative space where you can explore your unspoken ideas and unpack deeply ingrained narratives that shape how we navigate the world. Outside of my therapy work, I enjoy chatting about social justice and Black identity, resting on sunny park days with my dog, and indulging in far too many baked goods.

This 10-week therapy process group is designed for artists and art workers (painters, singers, A&Rs, curators, art educators, etc.) who want to explore the unique emotional and psychological challenges of working in creative industries. Whether you are dealing with isolation, capitalist pressures, managing burnout, or another unique stressor, this group offers a supportive and therapeutic environment where participants slow down and collectively process these experiences. Led by a licensed psychotherapist with experience working with both artists and art workers, this group will use clinical approaches to support emotional regulation, enhance interpersonal dynamics, and deepen self-awareness.
