Since 2003 my work has been with people experiencing problems related to substance use, trauma, mood dysregulation, psychosis, poverty, stigmatization, criminal injustice and oppression. Therapeutic care must recognize and allay the damage of environmental and systemic oppression. Social justice is at the core of social work practice - As a therapist and clinical supervisor this value is an imperative. Recovery from addictions, trauma, stress, anxiety and mood disorders is incomplete without addressing systemic inequities.
I have provided counseling services in multiple settings. Additionally, I have supervised both BSW and MSW students in field and the classroom. To the roles of clinician and clinical supervisor, I bring insatiable curiosity, relationship-building skills and a clinical lens shaped by both providing and receiving services. Welcome.
