About

I specialize in providing a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment and my approach is deeply personal. I believe it is important to work with women to learn and identify how they are impacted by their life stories and personal history. Thus, I strongly believes that the power of a woman lies in her stories. Our work together will help you to identify what is helpful and what is causing harm in order to move forward with becoming your best self. I believe there is a significant connection between our minds and our bodies and utilize a holistic approach to move women through the challenges that hold them back.
My therapeutic modalities are best described as an eclectic mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Multiculturalism, and reality-based Adlerian concepts. I additionally include movement therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, guided imagery, deep breathing exercises, and self-affirmation in my therapeutic framework.
It is my priority to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes growth and positive change. Together we will explore your feelings, circumstances and options. I look forward assisting you addresses your challenges and realize your goals. Therapy is a process that can move you toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the life you desire.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a powerful tool that can help you live with greater calm and balance. When we practice mindfulness, we cultivate self-care skills that are essential for human living. Scientists postulate that the development of mindfulness leads to non-judgmental and non-reactive acceptance of experience, which is associated with positive psychological and physical outcomes. Training gives special attention to one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and help us learn how to stay present and nurture our inner selves.

Grief & Loss Group

The death of a loved one brings with it a range of experiences and emotions. Grieving and processing the pain of loss is physically and emotionally consuming. No two individuals process grief and loss the same. Group therapy can be particularly helpful for people who are dealing with maternal grief and loss. This group offers a supportive setting for women who are grieving the loss of an infant or young child. Members are provided education, learn how to manage their symptoms of grief and are encouraged to shift their relationship to grief in order to better understand themselves and embrace the process of healing.
