With over thirty-seven years of experience, I have had opportunity to witness and participate in the ever-advancing understanding of the treatment of chemical dependency. As we have expanded our knowledge of the disease concept of addiction, we have advanced our cognitive behavioral approach of care to include neurological/brain chemistry healing utilizing medication management in conjunction with individual and group therapy. These advances are ever changing the success rates we are experiencing with transitioning individual affected by this disease from chronic/acute disease states to stabilized and/or remission status.
In my private practice, I work closely with patients challenged with chemical dependency and other diseases in collaboration with local medical and addiction treatment providers to enhance upon these success rates and hence offer healing from life debilitating and life threatening disease.
