I provide therapy for adults using a person-centered, strengths-based approach. I am experienced in treating mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, panic attacks, agoraphobia, PTSD, and grief and loss. I specialize in women's issues, pregnancy and motherhood, postpartum depression, self-esteem, relationship problems, and domestic violence. Additionally, I have a passion for treating emotional eating, chronic dieting, binge eating, body image distress, preparing for/recovering from weight loss surgery, autoimmune disorders, and chronic pain.
I believe that healing occurs when clients feel heard, supported and understood. Together, we work to identify strengths, overcome challenges and create positive change. My approach is flexible, depending on your needs and preferences; however, I primarily use CBT, insight-oriented and/or narrative therapy techniques.
I understand that starting therapy is a big step. Talking to someone you don't know, about very personal things, can be difficult.
