I work with adults, children, adolescents and couples who are struggling with a variety of different issues. These include depression, anxiety/panic attacks, relationship problems, school and behavioral issues, parenting challenges, ADHD, low self-esteem, stress, sexual orientation and gender identity concerns, struggles with spirituality, self-injurious behavior, adoption, dealing with medical problems, grief and loss, and trauma. My ideal clients want help and are feeling ready to do the work necessary to improve and enrich their lives.
I am a licensed psychologist. I have specialized training and experience in play therapy, parenting, working with LGBTQ clients and their families, EMDR, crisis intervention, and feminist therapy. I am Jewishly knowledgeable, and I speak a fair amount of Hebrew and Spanish. I am also authorized by PsyPact to practice telehealth in other PsyPact states.
I believe that a therapeutic relationship based on trust, honesty, respect and empathy is essential. I take a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and family systems theories and interventions, in order to most fully address the particular needs of each client.
