With more than 22 years of experience of counseling psychology, I strive to help others help themselves to reach their maximum potential, which involves goal-setting & motivating myself & others to realize our potential. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Indiana State University. I continued my education & earned a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University.
As a counselor, I specialize in individual, family & group counseling that focuses on crisis intervention, grief/loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, anger & stress management. I believe one can reach maximum potential by increasing optimism, self-determinism, self-advocacy & the willingness to set & meet personal goals. I am currently accepting new clients.
My compassionate but assertive approach, paired with the belief that the client brings the expertise of “what is” & the counselor brings the expertise of “what could be”, motivates my work with clients. The most important contribution is my imparting enthusiasm & belief in oneself & others by way of a non-judgement & empathic therapeutic space .
