I am Tamara Turner, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in practice in California for over 3 decades. One of my goals is for people to find hope and change quickly if that is what they want as well. I will do my best to get to know you and help you find the changes you want to make. I do this by carefully listening and reflecting back on what I hear. I help people uncover, challenge, and reframe negative thinking.
I see individuals, families, teens, and children who respond well to video visits. I have helped people with a wide range of issues from improving communication in relationships, to better managing stress, as well as mood issues such as anxiety and depression, and adapting to the many changes throughout our lives as we continue to change and grow.
I find people endlessly fascinating and inspirational. I get bored easily and this work has never been boring, it's different every day. That's what I always tell young people who tell me they are thinking about being social workers, teachers, or therapists.
