I have expertise in working with children through adults who struggle with issues such as anxiety, identity, divorce, grief, trauma, depression, eating disorders, learning and academic problems, as well as with young adults transitioning to college or struggling to find direction. I work with people individually, and with families to help negotiate solutions to these and other life struggles. My goal is to provide a place where deep healing can occur so that people can access their strengths, are able to create more joy and live a balanced and meaningful life.
I am flexible to the needs of the client and infuse the work with creativity, respect and practical solutions, guided by social justice and anti-racism perspectives. My training includes CBT, Mindfulness-based Psychotherapy, play/sand therapy, SoulCollage®, trauma treatment, family therapy and recovery work with people affected by addictions of loved ones.
I have worked as a child/adolescent therapist and trauma specialist in a variety of settings. I have most recently worked in higher ed where the focus of treatment for many clients is on adjustment to college, managing mental health issues and stress, gender and sexual identity, relationships, substance use, and achieving academic success.
