As a naturopathic doctor, I offer a holistic approach to mental health. I work with patients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, insomnia, fatigue, difficulty with concentration and poor memory. Often these symptoms are hand in hand with gastrointestinal issues, headaches, irregular or painful menses, infertility and other hormonal imbalances. By treating the whole person I can get to the root cause of the symptoms, looking at genetic, dietary/lifestyle, and other factors that might be contributing. I do not offer mental health counseling, however I work closely with several therapists to offer collaborative care.
Naturopathic medicine brings together the best of modern and traditional medicine, giving me the flexibility to prescribe or manage anti depressant medications when indicated, or helping patients approach their mood with more natural support. This is especially helpful for patients experiencing unpleasant side effects to their medications.
