About
I believe that we are equipped with incredible resilience. While we cannot control the obstacles and challenges that life throws our way, we have a tremendous ability to choose how to react to them. Through the quality of our relationships, mindfulness, and acceptance, we have more power than we realize in improving the quality of our lives. Through my clinical training, I have worked extensively with the LGBTQ community. I have experience counseling individuals, couples, and groups.
I have supported individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, identity questioning, relational and sex-related issues, trauma, and self-perception. I am passionate about working with diverse and oppressed communities, utilizing narrative therapy within a social justice framework to deconstruct and navigate oppressive forces in our society.
In my psychotherapy practice, I take an integrative approach of psychodynamic, humanistic, relational-cultural, feminist, CBT, and narrative theories based on my client’s individual needs. I enjoy incorporating mindfulness and creative arts practices in the therapeutic process when beneficial.
