I create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore challenging emotions, thoughts, and intrapersonal/interpersonal issues. I have expertise in addressing trauma, mood and personality disorders, self esteem issues, and relationship conflicts. There is space for clients to explore, get curious about themselves, and identify their own desired areas of growth. I lead with compassion and curiosity, instead of making assumptions, and I find that there is a depth of knowledge to learn when each client is given the chance.
I combine my psychology and social work education with certifications in yoga and mindfulness, offering a holistic approach. I maintain a systems approach, with an emphasis on exploring childhood/developmental wounds and traumas that have led to adaptive and maladaptive functioning. I intend to stay present, attuned, and flexible throughout sessions.
I understand that each person moves at their own pace in therapy, and I remain mindful and present with the therapeutic process. I believe each client has the ability to help themself, and my role is to help each person discover how to do so. Each client is given the opportunity to have a voice in their treatment.
