About
Taleatha Welch is a licensed clinical social worker. Taleatha has worn many hats throughout her life, but in each capacity, she’s always been in the business of serving people. She strives to build genuine connections with her patients by fostering an environment of transparency and support. She believes every patient is the expert in their journey and takes a supportive role during sessions. Her goal is to foster an environment of enrichment and support to make growth inevitable, not just possible. Taleatha knows taking the first step toward therapy and healing takes courage.
Taleatha has been providing therapy since 2018 and works with patients ages 21 and up. She specializes in addressing trauma, depression, caregiver distress, grief and bereavement, anxiety, compassion fatigue, and self-esteem issues. She uses a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
Outside of work, Taleatha loves spending time with family, drawing, reading, and watching action and sci-fi movies. Taleatha enjoys working at SohoMD because the organization is invested in not only their patients, but also their partners and employees. This helps providers better serve patients and help them reach optimal clinical outcomes.
