About
My name is Takeya Mccollum I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Since graduating in 2014; I worked in community mental health working with individuals between the ages of 18-60+years old impacted by severe mental illnesses ranging from depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and so forth. I offer individual counseling sessions where the goal is to help you become your best self!
Clients can expect a knowledgeable counselor who focuses on facilitating a safe space to promote client healing. I specialize in common disorders such as anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. I utilize a client centered approach and adjust modalities that best suit your needs.
I'm also very interested in sleep hygiene, self care and integrative wellness practices. Personally, I love plants and how they help promote wellness! I can teach you how to utilize Eucalyptus bundles to relieve stress and decompress while we simultaneously take a look at thoughts that could be harming you. Can’t wait to talk to you and tell you more!
