I have been in private practice since 2009, providing individual and family counseling for adolescents and adults. My counseling style is strength based and focused on finding solutions to more effectively manage life's challenges. I utilize a variety of treatment models to best meet your needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, prolonged exposure, trauma recovery and mindfulness practices. I am a certified first responder counselor and a certified interpersonal neurobiology clinician. I am trained in suicide prevention, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior prolonged exposure protocol. I have high standards regarding confidentiality to create a safe environment and protect clients.
Counseling goals are generated by you and treatment may be short or long term depending upon your needs. I may offer reading, videos or podcasts to supplement our work and may ask you to practice new skills in and out of the office setting. I am only accepting First Responder clients at this time.
