Stress and trauma come from many sources. You may have lived through - or been witness to -something that occurred too fast or lasted too long (medical interventions, childhood abuse or neglect, grief & loss).
Even though my specialty is in processing trauma, you are the expert about your experience. In collaboration with you I like to provide a safe place to help you renegotiate old strategies by exploring somatic experiences with an emphasis on your strengths and resources, and practicing new ways of being with yourself and in the world.
Somatic Psychotherapy draws from the practice of Somatic Experiencing, psychodynamic psychology and mindfulness. I look forward to helping you discover more ease, self-regulation, vitality and at least a glimpse into your authentic self.
