Hello and Welcome! My name is Dr. Sylvia Turk, LMFT. I am comfortable with a wide variety of patients, I have many years of experience in a medical setting, often dealing with both physical as well as emotional and psychological issues. I can help with depression, anxiety, divorce, family conflicts, job stress, mood disorders, women's issues, aging issues, and more. I'm a client centered, holistic and solution focused therapist, although I choose a therapeutic approach depending on each patient.
I'm an excellent listener and communicate openly, yet with love and compassion. I ask patients what their priorities are and help to identify reasonable, reachable goals with a focus on small, consistent steps.
I believe the first session is extremely important and I gather as much individual as well as family history. I want each patient to feel they are being heard and respected for where and who they are and that they have my unconditional commitment.
