I am Sylvia Ikerionwu, a Marriage and Family Therapist Licensed in the state of California. I have over ten years’ experience working as a Psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger management challenges, parenting problems, career challenges, life transitions and grief issues. I also have helped parents of children with behavioral issues.
My approach to therapy varies depending on each individual client’s needs. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focus Therapy as these therapies help the client and I develop an understanding of how their thoughts affect their behaviors and what goals they have for their lives.
My communication style is warm, personable, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with dignity, respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, as I can provide an unbiased ear.
