Welcome! I am here to help. Life can be very challenging. It can be full of hurt, misunderstanding, betrayal and loss. But it can also be full of hope, healing, growth and joy. I believe that every difficulty in our lives brings with it the opportunity to grow stronger and find the fulfillment we all long for. Overcoming and flourishing are possible, regardless of circumstances around us. As a professional counselor, I have walked alongside people on their journeys to healing and wholeness since 1981. I have seen the triumph and beauty in the human spirit as it heals from trauma and loss and is restored to vibrancy.
I use a blended style of counseling, with an emphasis on the cognitive-behavioral, i.e. the importance of how we think and its impact on our life choices and behaviors. I work with people to gain effective and healthy life, communication and relational tools, encouraging them to address the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of life.
In working with adults and adolescents as singles, couples and families, we have faced the challenges of depression, anxiety, panic disorders, childhood abuse in many forms, chemical abuse and addictions, infidelity, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, parenting and relationship issues.
