You don’t have to have it all figured out to start therapy. I’m Sydney! I work with people who want support and a space to talk openly, even if they’re not sure where to start. I take a strengths-based approach and meet clients where they are, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for them. I’m trained in EMDR, which I often use to help process trauma and difficult experiences in a way that feels manageable. EMDR can help clients who feel stuck or overwhelmed by past experiences, or for those who’ve tried talk therapy and want something different.
In EMDR, we focus on memories while following gentle eye movements, sounds, or taps. It helps your brain process them to feel less upsetting and easier to handle. I also draw from CBT to help clients notice patterns, build coping skills, and recognize their own strengths. Some areas I commonly work with are anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use.
Therapy with me is a team effort — we move at your pace, making sure your goals and comfort guide our work. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I invite you to reach out when you’re ready. In sessions, you’re in control, and we’ll take things step by step. Sessions are safe and collaborative — a space to tackle the hard stuff and still be you.
