Do you want to increase your self-awareness, improve how you manage your emotions, learn to be kinder to yourself, set boundaries with people in your life, understand your needs and practice better self-care? I am here to help you with that and more. I work with young and middle aged adults to who are functioning in their day to day life but perhaps feel anxious, lost, or unhappy, are dissatisfied with their relationships, or feel weighed down by their past. I want to help you move through barriers that keep you from living a more authentic and meaningful life.
My approach is based on your specific issues and needs. In general, I tend to help people understand how their past influences their present, process through past and current stressors, and develop healthier thinking patterns and self-compassion. I am also trained in EMDR, a structured therapy for reprocessing distressing life events and negative beliefs.
Starting therapy for the first time or with a new therapist can be a daunting and vulnerable experience. I know because I've been there. I hope to ease that process for you with warmth and my down to earth nature. Send me a message/email or give me a call to connect and see if we might be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you.
