Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Newport Beach & Long Beach, CA. I work with adults to help them cope with and reduce anxiety and live more peaceful, fulfilling lives. I love working with self-proclaimed people-pleasers, the stretched thin, the overwhelmed, those who feel stuck. Often times this is women, mothers and mothers-to-be, although this does NOT exclude men. My clients have often reached a point where they're finally ready to ask for help after helping everyone else in their life for so long. They're eager to make changes and ready to accept support & tools for living the lives they deserve.

My clients report feeling supported, encouraged and like they have someone they can trust. Most of all, they make progress. While I am very compassionate, I also have a way of challenging clients to get where they want to go. They find new ways of seeing and navigating their blocks, that ultimately changes the way they think, feel and live.

It takes courage to ask for help. I develop great rapport with my clients through an open, non-judgmental & relaxed environment. My clients express feeling comfortable and having an easy time opening up. Therapy can be heavy so I try to have fun while working through tough stuff. For anxiety, I typically work with a client for 8 sessions utilizing foundational cognitive behavioral therapy integrated with narrative and somatic methods to begin reframing and rewiring old thoughts, beliefs and patterns toward a new, desired, growth mindset with aligned behaviors and feelings. Most clients notice some improvement at 4-6 weeks with gradual, consistent improvement over time.

Grief Group for Adults

The Grief Group will meet Mondays for 6 weeks (Fall/Winter 2023/2024 dates TBD). The outline for sessions generally includes the following: beginning journal prompt, followed by group discussion, tools & strategies for managing grief and stress; art therapy directive geared at processing emotions, unresolved grief; ending sessions with closing journal prompt & group discussion/support. There must be a minimum of 4 participants to hold the group and maximum of 12. Payments can be made in full prior to start of group or broken up into 2 payments. $390 total or $195 x2 for 6 sessions.

Prenatal Support Group

The group will emphasize art therapy and community. For expecting moms to connect with your body, growing baby and community of women in a creative space. Support yourself and each other through creative art practices, mindfulness, group processing and tools for navigating the unique experience of pregnancy. Tools you can expect...expressive art making, journaling, guided meditation, group discussion & psychoeducation. 4-week group occurs November 14 & 28 and December 5 & 12, 2023 (total cost $280). 6-week group occurs January 9, 16, 23, 30 and February 6 & 13, 2024 (total cost $420). Payments can be split in two.
