I find I work best with young adults through those age 100. While it's true more women present for therapy than men, I find I work very well with male clients and historically have seen as many men as women. I also work well with those from diverse communities. Many people find themselves struggling as they adjust to change. A divorce, a move, a job loss, retirement, becoming an empty nester, losing your mobility or independence, or downsizing can sometimes prove more difficult than anticipated. I can assist in adapting to those situations. Additionally, I can help with depression, anxiety, grief, or occupational issues.
I've been a therapist for 23 years now and remain just as passionate about helping people improve their relationships, manage stressful life events, and overcome obstacles to achieving their goals as I was in the beginning. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Christian Counseling, and other approaches as appropriate.
My goal is to establish trust and to maintain a welcoming, non-judgmental, and supportive environment. My approach has been described as both empathetic and direct.
