Syd is an experienced individual and family therapist with over six years of practice in various settings, including home, community, & office based care. Syd has worked extensively with children, youth, and families dealing with attachment disruptions, trauma, and chronic mental illness. Specializing in client-centered, strengths-based care for youth ages 7-18, Syd's areas of expertise include gender-affirming therapy, trauma, family conflict, and educational advocacy.
Syd provides integrative individual and family counseling utilizing attachment-based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, narrative therapy, and non-directive play therapy.
Primarily, Syd sees clients in person, either at the office, for walk-and-talk sessions, or in the community/in a client’s home. Syd is also equipped to see youth involved in juvenile probation or child protective services for court-ordered therapy and works with parents/caregivers looking to support their gender-diverse children.
