As a multi-racial, formally diagnosed autistic individual with lived experiences of systemic violence, I bring a unique and deeply empathetic perspective to therapy. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how trauma impacts vulnerable populations differently and often more severely. My commitment to civil rights advocacy is driven by a passion for addressing systemic violence against marginalized communities, including people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, those living in poverty, and people with disabilities.
I have found EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to be exceptionally effective in treating trauma. It provides rapid, non-invasive results, making it an ideal method for addressing the spectrum of trauma, from minor to major events. Trauma is highly subjective—what affects one person deeply might not impact another in the same way.
