After teaching college for 17 years, I walked away from academia so I could devote myself to encouraging and empowering my Christian sisters to live their best lives by learning to trust and really lean into Jesus. I started my practice in 2008 working within my specialization of creatives and gifted girls. After experiencing the emotional trauma of betrayal, I went back to school to become intimacy anorexia and betrayal trauma certified as well. There is a difference between studying concepts and experiencing concepts. I counsel and coach not only what I have studied, but what I have personally battled and slayed in my life including: life transitions, college mental health, betrayal, insecurity, feelings of worthlessness, divorce, emotional abuse, living with an intimacy anorexic, etc...
Throughout my life, I often felt seen but unknown. Misunderstood by my family, verbally and physically abused, and continuously knocked down by the people I should have been able to trust, took a toll on my heart and sense of security.
